Welcome to the Cheshire Mini Sportive organised by Team Torelli Cycling Club. We have got two great routes 30 mile and 60 miles designed by experienced local club riders. The event has been designed help you blow off the cobwebs after the winter break and ease you back into the new sportive season

Both routes are relatively flat with just a few bumps in them to keep it interesting Starting off once again at the Poynton Leisure Centre the riders will head off round the Cheshire plains. There are no big climbs, most of the route is relatively flat or are on undulating roads.
The weather in Cheshire is relatively mild compared to the rest of the North West at this time of year being protected by the Welsh hills in the West and the Pennine hills on the East.

You do not need to be in a cycling club to enter the event. You just need to be fit enough to get round. We have two routes to suit all abilities. Have a road worthy bicycle (road, hybrid or mountain bike) and a helmet.
Riders are set off in small groups, your number is scanned at the start and at the finish, times are published on the website on the Tuesday following the event.

TEAM CHALLENGE

This year as well as having individual entrants we are are introducing a team classification . Teams will be made up of four or more riders.
This is a great team building exercise for corporate companies, its also so great for  charity groups , groups of friends , cycling and tri clubs.
Tactics are entirely up to each team to decide.  The only rules are that each team must finish a minimum of four riders. The time of the team is taken  when the fourth rider crosses the finish line. Teams can compose of any number from 4 to 8 riders.
To enter as a team, enter the event as normal through the SI Entries website. Decide on a team leader, the team leader needs to email the organisation with a list if the riders in the team. If you could include the team name, names of the riders along with their SI numbers. We need a minimum of 4 riders and maximum of 8 riders per team

email to torellisport@aol.com  please put `team entry` in the subject box

Teams looking to kit themselves out in their own custom team clothing, we have partnered with local cycle clothing speciallists KOA.

For more information about team clothing contact Alan at koaclothing@yahoo.co.uk
